More than Singing Lessons.
A journey of voice and soul.
Hi, I'm Ingrid.
I've been singing for over 40 years and know how intimidating it can feel to sing in front of others. My lessons focus on helping beginners discover and develop their own voice in a supportive environment.
Maybe you sing in the car, in the shower, or quietly along to your favourite songs when no one's around. Maybe you've always wished you could hit that note, hold that breath, or just feel more confident when you open your mouth to sing.
Whether you dream of joining a choir, performing on stage, or simply singing for fun, I offer a supportive and encouraging environment to help you grow in confidence and improve your voice. Alongside healthy vocal technique, breathing, and pitch, lessons also focus on developing a positive mindset and getting in touch with your inner joy, so you can overcome self-doubt, relax, and enjoy singing with confidence.
Especially suitable for beginners, but all experience levels welcome. Lessons are tailored to each individual, helping singers strengthen their voice, expand their range, and feel more comfortable expressing themselves in a relaxed and uplifting atmosphere.
Who am I?
I have been performing most of my life, starting out on the stage (my favourite place to be) and then venturing into film/tv and some extras work. My singing career is varied and includes performances in musicals, acoustic pop, blues & soul cover bands, and originals bands.
Over the years I’ve had lessons with some fantastic teachers including Nadia Piave, Sally Marrett, Peter Egan, Darren Heinrich, and Jenny Vergison.
Since moving to Brisbane in 2024, I spent a couple of years singing with Sound Avenue—an acapella vocal ensemble; and am currently singing some classic soul hits with We Three and Bootsy— @we3andbootsy
When performing, I want to express something greater than myself, that draws the audience in so that we take a soulful journey together.
When teaching, I love creating lessons that are both fun and challenging—within your comfort zone, but stretching you a bit each time. There will be some focus on technique, but it’s very important that you enjoy the process, have fun, and feel empowered by your progress.
It’s not just about the voice and it’s not just about the music… it’s about reconnecting with your soul as well. In fact, that’s where the music comes from.
Who I work with
Curious beginners who've never had a lesson but want to see what's possible
Casual singers who want to sound better without any formal commitment
Shower soloists who've always wondered what they could do with a little guidance
Singers who sang years ago and want to reconnect with their voice
If you can carry a tune—even loosely—I can help you carry it further.
What you’ll learn
Every voice is different, so every lesson is tailored to yours. Here are some of the things we will work on:
Breath control — Sing longer phrases without running out of air
Pitch accuracy — Hit the notes you're aiming for, consistently
Tone and resonance — Develop a fuller, richer sound
Range expansion — Reach higher and lower notes with ease
Confidence — Sing without second-guessing yourself
We'll work on songs you actually want to sing.
You bring the playlist; I bring the technique.
How it works
Lessons are relaxed, one-on-one sessions held in my home studio. We go at your pace, on your schedule. No exams, no grades, no audience — just me, cheering you on.
